When Luke decided to propose to Karli, he asked us to be there to capture it all. We joined both of their families at Nicklas Tree Farms one frosty Michigan morning to begin the surprise. We hid amongst the pine trees as the families orchestrated the “search for the perfect Christmas tree” plan and began to shoot as Luke got down on one knee with the ring.
We’ve been lucky enough to celebrate with Luke, Karli, and their families throughout their love story, beginning with the proposal, followed by the engagement session, and then their beautiful barn wedding at Frutig Farms in Ann Arbor. We’ve gotten to know their families further over the years now, as we have also photographed their siblings’ senior sessions.
And now sweet baby Max. Gahhh, what a cutie! We recently visited Luke, Karli, baby Max, and pup Levy at their home. Max had no interest in letting us take quiet, sleeping baby photos, because he was ready to party; kicking and stretching his arms and legs in all directions. Levy was a willing sidekick and wanted to be everywhere her new brother was. She followed the action from room to room, protecting (aaaand maybe sharing the spotlight with) Max during his solo shots, and hopping up with her family as they snuggled on the bed together:)
Thank you both for allowing us into your lives and trusting us with your most special moments! We’ve loved documenting your story so far and look forward to what is still to come…
